#3: Less is so much more - reflections for the year ahead

Out the other side of the festive season, I'm landing into the blank canvas that is 2023 and taking some time to be reflective and set some intentions. Last year was a shift and turning point in how I do a lot of things and I'm keen to take these adjustments and learnings into the year ahead:

Being less busy

Moving out of over-productivity and behaviour that has caused me burn-out in the past has been a game-changer. Managing my true capacity, making space - plenty of it - for real life, and listening to my energy has slowed life down to an enjoyable pace.

Protecting my energy

Being more picky with plans and not feeling obligated to do all the things is a time and energy saver. Doing more of what makes me happy - sometimes that's just being in my space at home - allows me to full my cup in other meaningful ways.

Choosing my people

Lately, a hyper-social life is less desirable than it used to be, I'm finding I need less people to feel content - must getting older. ;) More consciously choosing the company I keep allows me to nourish my most important relationships.

Letting things go

From versions of myself I've grown out of, to thought patterns and fears that were keeping me locked - even possessions I've no longer needed. I've done a lot of processing and releasing that's resulted in a stronger, clearer mental space and more physical vitality.

You'll notice a theme here: All of these are around quieting and simplifying life. I've come into prioritising my peace by learning boundaries. It's been an absolute tonic after a couple of tumultuous years. Change from this place is incredibly rewarding.

I'm trusting the process.

Today is a good day to create your life.
