Amazon Prime Video launched in South Africa in late 2022, with the launch campaign rolling out from early 2023. I managed the campaign and team, which included a digital strategist, social media manager, video editor and a team of content designers who feverishly made up the tongue-in-cheek meme-style entertainment content the streaming channel is known for. We executed a rigorous three post per day strategy and launched several campaigns for tent pole shows including The Boys Season 2, Lord of the Rings, Jack Ryan. The key objectives were nurturing the new channels and growing the initial audience by educating them - with charm, wit and speed - about the services programming. The digital launch ran over 6 months.

The influencer campaign was launched on Popcorn Day, 19 Jan, to seed the social channels with the selection of entertainment obsessed micro influencers. They shared their gift drops on social media and became early adopters of the channel, commenting on content and sharing excitement about shows they’d started watching.
